I'll buy a helium-filled latex balloon in the colour of your choice, write your message on a tag (please try to keep it short enough to fit on a normal-sized label), then I'll release and photograph it during various stages of its progress into the sky as it disappears - with luck someone may find the message and reply
This is more suited as a means of advertising - I make sure you get a good close-up of the message on the tag, and some photos of the balloon close up, whilst the rest will be taken as the balloon floats away
I try to get 6 good photos which I send individually and as a montage

I use latex because it's biodegradable and less of an environmental hazard - the balloon shatters once it reaches a certain height and I use as little ribbon to attach the label as possible

I'm in the UK so can't say where the message will end up, or if anyone will find it obviously

Dull rainy skies don't produce interesting photos and I like to get as good a result as possible
